Privacy Policy

In the context of the new guidelines implemented in the EU under the GDPR, I would like to share with you more information about the privacy policy of Laetitude Translations, as well as the type of data collected about you and how they are collected and used.

Your data are only collected and used as part of your collaboration with me, Laetitia Palmaerts, founder of Laetitude Translations.

Depending on your job, some of the information requested is mandatory, some not.

The main data collected are the following:

  • Company name
  • First and last name of the contact person to whom the quote and/or invoice is sent
  • Address to which the invoice is issued
  • VAT number of the company (where applicable)
  • Contact telephone number (mobile and landline)
    • For invoicing
    • For the work to be done
  • Contact email for the work to be done

Depending on the work done or to be done as part of our collaboration, I may need to manage information on the social networks mentioned below, on your behalf, or only by citing it:

  • LinkedIn

Data thus collected are not used outside of our collaboration.

No data are sold to third parties, for example for a newsletter database.

No data are shared, except in the specific context of a job contracted to a subcontractor, and a strict contract stipulating the same conditions of non-sharing of information will be signed between Laetitude Translations and the relevant subcontractor company.

No bank details are collected at any time, except in the event of a credit note to be sent to you.

In order to ensure complete transparency, you have the right to ask me to see the data collected about you as part of our collaboration at any time. You also have the right to ask me to rectify, limit or delete this information from my database, in order to no longer be contacted by Laetitude Translations – with the exception of quotes and invoices issued during our various contacts that will not be deleted.

Such rectification, limitation or deletion of data will be carried out in the month following the request for rectification, limitation or deletion.

Data about you is kept for up to three years. At the end of this retention period, accounting and legal data will be archived. All other data will be deleted.

Your personal data can be used to send you:

  • a contract
  • a quote
  • a invoice
  • a reply to your requests, questions, concerns
  • work completed under a contract
  • important information, such as the updated Privacy Policy or General Terms and Conditions of Sale of Laetitude Translations
  • information requested about a service or work done/to be done

In the context of a collaboration with private parties, the contract we sign will also include a ‘Transparency Statement’.

Like this Privacy Policy, the Transparency Statement guarantees that your data will be protected and used transparently.

You can read the Transparency Statement here. It will be updated as often as necessary.

The laetitude.be website may contain links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Laetitude Translations. I invite you to read their privacy policy before providing any personal information on those websites, as they are governed by their privacy policies.

Laetitude Translations cannot be held responsible for the management of your data on external websites, including those of partners.

I may send you newsletters to keep you informed of news about Laetitude Translations or other regulations to take into account, such as updates to the Privacy Policy or other topics that may interest you.

If you do not wish to receive this type of information or newsletters from Laetitude Translations, you can notify me of this at any time and your decision will be applied automatically.
